A few pilgrims began walking on Holy Thursday despite high winds and many more are expected to make the journey to Chimayó today.

County commissioners and local activist Howard Hutchinson pushed resolutions that oppose using the 1906 Antiquities Act to set aside lands as national monuments—arguing that local control would better serve the community.
