Poetry Reading with Henry Shukman

About this event

Henry will read from recent poems. Held in conjunction with the exhibition Traces: Known and Un-Known with new work by Christy Hengst, the reading takes place in the gallery El Zaguan, home of the Historic Santa Fe Foundation.

An intimate reading by award-winning poet, author, and Zen teacher Henry Shukman. The Spiritual Director Emeritus of Mountain Cloud Zen Center in Santa Fe, Shukman has published several books and his poetry has appeared, among other places, in The New Yorker, The Guardian, and London Review of Books. His deep experience in Zen meditation provides a natural thematic bridge to Hengst’s meditative approach to artmaking (henryshukman.com). Advance registration is suggested to guarantee seating.
