Tuesday, students at the Academy for Technology and the Classics hosted a Veterans Day Celebration that featured live music, family activities + food to honor veterans.

John Garcia, president of the New Mexico Veteran Chamber of Commerce, said he hopes that 10% of small businesses will be owned by veterans—he plans to empower veteran entrepreneurs across the state.

The chamber will focus on promoting programs that support veteran-run businesses.

Game and Fish captured a male Mexican wolf near Gallina on Friday and returned it to the Gila National Forest experimental area.

The wolf was first spotted outside the area in July— and since late October, it had been moving north in search of a mate to avoid harm or breeding with domestic dogs— officials said.
