- ➤ The National Weather Service issued a freeze watch for Albuquerque, Santa Fe and nearby areas from late Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning as the first freeze of fall 2025 nears. - ➤ LANL Director Thom Mason explained today that artificial intelligence is used at the lab and may soon benefit New Mexico — he described how the technology works and why its promise excites many. Santa Fe New Mexican
- ➤ Heavy rains in August left about 30 acequias clogged with sediment and unusable, officials said. Santa Fe County may seek disaster funding to repair the damaged channels — officials add that the move is planned as assessments continue — and help restore these essential water systems.
