GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Letitia Montoya said collecting shopping carts around Santa Fe inspired her mayoral run; she plans to boost affordable housing, help the homeless, and raise wages for city employees.  Santa Fe New Mexican
  • Santa Fe school board members are optimistic that voters will approve the $150M bond even though critics oppose spending the most money on an administrative building—concerns focus on how the board handled the bond rollout.   • The annual Big Tesuque Trail race -- a 12-mile course that goes up Tesuque Peak and down to Aspen Vista -- will take place this weekend in Santa Fe and costs $70 to register as it benefits Wings of America, which supports running programs for Native American kids and teens.  KOB 4
