EDUCATION NEWS

  • Candidates for the Santa Fe school board's District 3 seat split on Friday night over funding cuts and school sizes — some drawing on years of education experience while others expressed contrasting views as they sought voter support.  Santa Fe New Mexican

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The City of Santa Fe and its employee union reached a contract deal that will run until June 2027. The City Council Finance Committee will review the agreement on Monday—setting the stage for final approval.  Santa Fe New Mexican

HEALTH NEWS

  • Measles outbreak data show that New Mexico boosted its vaccination rate this year when 54,623 MMR doses were given after 38 weeks in 2025—compared to 33,375 doses during the same period in 2024; cases dropped sharply by early June. The state Department of Health is working to improve vaccine access in rural areas.  KOB 4
  • Santa Fe County closed Eldorado ReUse Center after a complaint about rat feces that may be a health hazard — officials are investigating to protect the community.  Santa Fe New Mexican
