- ➤ Santa Fe Police are setting up sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols throughout September to deter impaired driving and keep streets safe - the effort is funded by the New Mexico Department of Transportation's Traffic Safety Division and aims to educate drivers about the dangers of driving while intoxicated. - ➤ New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham signed a four-year, $120 million agreement with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency on September 3 to advance quantum computing technology—this partnership will use state universities, private companies and national labs to test if utility-scale quantum computing can be reached by 2033 and boost the economy.
