  • Santa Fe school board elections are underway as Board Vice President Kate Noble faces no opposition after her only opponent was disqualified—three or four candidates are set to run for the District 5 seat.  Santa Fe New Mexican

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Santa Fe Mayor Alan Webber is asking to raise the minimum wage from $15 to $17.50 an hour by 2027 to help residents with high living costs in the city — he will hold two town halls to gather public input on the plan.  KOB 4
  • Santa Feans will face a crowded mayoral contest and four council races in the upcoming municipal elections — with two council races competitive and two unopposed — as all candidates qualified for the ballot according to the secretary of state's office.  Santa Fe New Mexican
  • Emergency response teams from across the country, including Santa Fe firefighters + Los Alamos County firefighters and the Utah Army National Guard Civil Support Team, competed at Los Alamos National Lab’s Emergency Response Center in the annual hazmat challenge to test their skills in simulated real-life scenarios.  KOB 4
