The historic church in Las Trampas is celebrating its 250th anniversary today & recalls its founding during Spain’s turbulent period of agrarian settlement across Northern New Mexico.

Representatives from 20 pueblos and congressional delegates met at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday to state that Chaco Canyon must remain a drilling buffer — the group stressed the site is not for sale.
