A wildfire near Tres Piedras has grown to over 1,800 acres — firefighters are working to contain the blaze.

Nearly 600 firefighters are battling two wildfires in northern New Mexico amid hot, dry conditions while crews work to contain the flames.

On Sunday, three firefighters were killed and two injured near the Colorado-Utah border.

State regulations will soon require restaurants to pay higher fees for late permit renewals, reinspections and some applications as the revised Administrative Code takes effect.

Local businesses should adjust to the new cost structure in the coming weeks.
