- ➤ Santa Fe police said a 36-year-old man (from Albuquerque) threatened a Department of Transportation road crew and others with a large knife and was arrested Friday morning. Santa Fe New Mexican
- ➤ Santa Fe man Manuel Rios-Alderete was sentenced to 35 years in prison for his role in the Thanksgiving Day 2022 drug house killing of Adan Ponce-Galdeano—he was the only one among five charged to stand trial. Santa Fe New Mexican
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Santa Fe Public Schools Board of Education selected four candidates—Almudena Abeyta, Faviola Cantú, Christine Griffin and Neal Weaver—to interview for the new superintendent position next week. Candidate interviews will take place on April 29 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., with finalist forums on April 30 and a selection meeting on May 1 before the final choice is announced on May 6.
