ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ U.S. Forest Service crews in New Mexico are training daily using helicopter support and other fire-fighting tools amid low snowpack to prepare for an early wildfire season. The Sandia heli-tech crew is checking its helicopter to assist on fires as early as Thursday. KOB 4
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ New federal rules require SNAP recipients to work 80 hours a month starting June 1 or risk losing food assistance for three years. The New Mexico Health Care Authority will ask SNAP applicants to show proof of shelter costs & utilities beginning May 1. KOB 4
