  • City buses will display poetry during April from The Voice Project organized by poet laureate Tommy Archuleta (who held workshops for homeless residents). The initiative is set to bring community art into everyday transit experiences around town.  Santa Fe New Mexican

  • Margaret Neill, Santa Fe’s library director, discussed plans to upgrade the downtown library building on Conversations Different — the improvements will enhance community use and begin soon.  Santa Fe New Mexican

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • City officials announced that the recycling drop-off on Lucia Lane will move to a new site on Jemez Road after facing repeated illegal dumping, and the relocation aims to improve recycling services. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Due to warm, dry conditions and abundant dry fuels, the state forester enacted statewide fire restrictions on non-municipal, non-federal & non-tribal lands Monday. The measures remain in effect until rescinded to curb wildfire risks during this high-risk season.  KOB 4

  • The Santa Fe Association of Realtors reported that first-quarter single-family home sales were down in the county but flat in the city, describing the performance as lackluster.  Santa Fe New Mexican
