- ➤ Residents on Agua Fría Street protested a proposed Pallet shelter site today—some said the city-owned location is not a good fit for a future microcommunity while others expressed support for the project. Santa Fe New Mexican
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Española police arrested the parents of a child aged 1 year and 6 months who was treated for a fentanyl overdose Tuesday at Española Presbyterian Hospital—doctors used Narcan and child protective services stepped in after the child was exposed to fentanyl at home, and both parents now face child abuse charges. - ➤ The Archdiocese of Santa Fe kept a list of 83 accused priests even though 59 more clergy with settled sexual abuse claims from bankruptcy on Dec. 3, 2018 were not added—critics say this undercount may hide a larger abuse problem, and Archbishop John Wester said he will not have the board review these cases. - ➤ The University of New Mexico will open a digital archive this spring that houses documents from lawsuits on clergy sexual abuse by priests in Santa Fe — the collection includes victims’ proofs of claim and personnel files from both the Archdiocese and law firms.
