  • Plaza Café owner Razatos has opened a new Italian eatery in the former Rustica space on Santa Fe’s south side after buying the property on Feb. 19 from Josh Baum.   • Adriana Cruz (26) and Norma Reyes (29) face charges of attempted kidnapping in a vigilante kidnapping case.  Santa Fe New Mexican
  • A man was hit and killed by a driver in a city vehicle while sitting on a bench outside Santa Fe Place Mall Monday—police said.  Santa Fe New Mexican
  • Santa Fe police identified local pedestrian Jeremy Lujan—34—who was killed after being struck by a vehicle in a fatal hit-and-run crash.  Santa Fe New Mexican

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • On March 24, the Forestry Division launched its online Wildfire Awareness Week with the theme 'Spark Safety Not Wildfires' to remind residents how to protect their homes as fire season nears while the Gail Fire near Mayhill was 25% contained. The campaign will use social media posts to explain that four out of five wildfires start from human causes—urging homeowners to clear combustible vegetation around their properties.  Santa Fe Reporter
