  • On Dec. 26, the Empty Stocking Fund raised $517,644, surpassing its $475,000 goal and setting a record (a milestone for local charities). The achievement reflects strong community support during the holiday season.  Santa Fe New Mexican

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Santa Fe Community Colleges launched a new apprenticeship that gives students hands-on training for early child care careers. The locally funded program helps them earn degrees or certificates (offering practical experience) as they build a future in education.  Santa Fe New Mexican

SPORTS NEWS

  • Red River leads with a 20-inch base and 14 open trails while Ski Santa Fe has 34 open trails with an 18-inch base. Taos Ski Valley and Sipapu posted at least 12 inches, though Angel Fire and Ski Apache report few open trails; Pajarito and Sandia Peak remain closed.  KOB 4
