Julia Roberts - Sueños de Colores

About this event

New Concept Gallery invites you to join us for the final shows of our regular 2026 season. Julia Roberts' Sueños de Colores will open from 5-7 PM on Friday, November 20th, 2026, with the artist in attendance and live music provided by Santa Fe musician Nelson Denman. The show will run concurrently with Paul Shapiro’s Southwest by Northwest. The exhibits can be viewed through Sunday, January 3, 2027, at New Concept Gallery, 610-A Canyon Road, Santa Fe, NM.

Although she is best known for her exquisite hand-pulled prints with a subdued palette, Julia Roberts often envisions vibrantly colored landscapes inspired by her life in the high desert of the American southwest. For the past several years, Julia’s new work has focused on explorations of these imagined landscapes in the form of monotypes and pastels. Sueños de Colores will showcase an assortment of these delightful southwestern settings that, while informed by real locations, largely exist only in Julia’s dreams.

Before settling in Santa Fe in 2006, Julia lived in Europe for 16 years, producing her art in various ateliers and master classes in Paris and London. She spent many productive years working with master printmakers at the London Print Studio.
