About this event
Celebrate National STEM/STEAM Day at the Garden!
What happens when science meets art, and a plant becomes a paintbrush? Discover the creative possibilities of the natural world as we celebrate National STEM/STEAM Day all weekend at the Garden!
Learn how yucca plants have traditionally been used to make paintbrushes, transforming plant fibers into tools for artistic expression. Then, get hands-on by crafting your own paintbrush from yucca fibers and putting it to the test as you create a painting of your own.
Explore the fascinating connections between plants, science, art, and cultural knowledge, and discover how the natural world can inspire creativity in unexpected ways. Join us for a colorful celebration of nature’s ingenuity!
