Study group: The Poems of Emily Dickinson

About this event

Ken Baumann invites you to study the poems (and letters) of Emily Dickinson, one of the most inventive and peculiar artists in American history. We will meet weekly on Wednesdays in Levan Hall 302 from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. You can bring your lunch. We will use this text: The Poems of Emily Dickinson: Reading Edition edited by R. W. Franklin, available in our bookstore and library. We will proceed chronologically through Emily's poems in order to note how her style and subjects develop over time; in each meeting we will focus our discussion on no more than three or four poems. If you'd like to be added to our email group and receieve each week's assigned reading, email Ken Baumann (Kenneth.Baumann@sjc.edu).
