Annie at the Jean Cocteau Cinema

About this event

Leaping Lizards!!! On Saturday, November 7 at the Jean Cocteau Cinema, we got ANNIE (1982)!

Based on the Broadway musical, ANNIE is the tale of "an orphan in a facility run by the mean Miss Hannigan, who believes that her parents left her there by mistake. When a rich man named 'Daddy' Warbucks decides to let an orphan live at his home to promote his image, Annie is selected. While Annie gets accustomed to living in Warbucks' mansion, she still longs to meet her parents. So Warbucks announces a search for them and a reward, which brings out many frauds."

Directed by the incomparable John Huston, ANNIE is jam packed with banger songs ("It's the Hard Knock Life," "Tomorrow") and a killer cast (Aileen Quinn, Albert Finney, Carol Burnett, Tim Curry, and Bernadette Peters). I mean, COME ON, PEOPLE - ANNIE is a good freakin' time.

Gather ANNIE stans! #stannie4annie And bring the young ones who have yet to experience the magic that is ANNIE. Let's go to the movies! Find the other half of your locket and your tickets at www.jeancocteaucinema.com.
