On July 16, the Santa Fe Film Institute announced it awarded a total of $40,000 in grants to emerging filmmakers—four New Mexican artists received up to $10,000 while out-of-state filmmakers received smaller amounts. The grants support new film projects and aim to boost Santa Fe as a film destination ahead of the upcoming international film festival.

La Cofradia de la Conquistadora marked 400 years of Our Lady of Peace in Santa Fe today by honoring the icon with a display known as the Sacred Style of Our Lady — featuring Crown and Cloth.
Santa Fe Opera presented its production of Rigoletto titled 'Tears of a Clown' when Michael Chioldi replaced Spanish baritone Gerardo Bullón for personal reasons. The co-production with Irish National Opera and Opera Zuid began on July 16 at 8:30 p.m. and will continue on July 29, August 7, 15 and 20 — ticket prices range from $15 to $409.
